Ed Benedict is open...kinda...

At least as far as I know the skate plaza over on Powell has been unofficially open for the last few days. I skated it yesterday for an hour or so. It's FUN. The granite ledges are slick, and the channel gap is rad. Just thought I'd give you folks a heads up....I don't know if it's going to stay open or what the deal is. To me it looked like the fence just blew over, but there were a good 20 or so people skating it without getting hassled by anyone. Also I hear the lights on the walkway keep it… Continue

100% injury rate

My ankle is completely fucked... No way around it -the thing is purple from the base of my toes to halfway up my calf. Wonder what kind of neat-o surgery I'll get to have to explain to the wife I need? Going to blow through my medical insurance deductible pretty quick this year. Ouch. UPDATE (1/8/09): Saw an orthopedic lower extremity specialist (la-tee-da!) and got a couple x-rays. Good news is that I have a hairline fracture somewhere in my ankle! Woo! Twilight Movie Review

Twilight was super fantastic! I read all of the books in about a week and I thought they did a REALLY good job with the movie! Personally, I didn't think the movie would be THAT good after hearing twilight mega-fans reviews. The only things I didn't like was the fact that some of the dialogue was a bit repetitive & simple and the scene where Edward sparkles didn't really make him look sparkly.... I still love it though!!!! Continue
